Dr. Mustapha Belhabib is an engineer, educator, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in automotive, aerospace, energy, and academia. As the founder and CEO of Tonomia SRL, he focuses on pioneering self-sustaining systems, driven by his expertise and dedication to innovation.
He holds a PhD in mechanics (aircraft engines) from UPMC (Paris 6) and a Master’s in energy conversion. His career began with an internship at Alstom (GE Renewable Energy) and research collaboration with Snecma Aircraft Engines (Safran). He then joined Valeo Engine Cooling (1995–2001), contributing to over 60 product applications for global automakers like Audi, BMW, Ford, and Toyota.
In 2001, he moved to Ford Motor Company, where he spent over two decades leading powertrain and hardware integration for iconic vehicles, including the Ford Mondeo, Fiesta, and Lincoln models, and advancing next-gen electric vehicle systems. Since 2011, he has been a Visiting Associate Professor in Smart & Sustainable Mobility at the University of Liège, merging industry knowledge with academic teaching.
In 2023, he founded Tonomia SRL, dedicated to sustainable living solutions. With over 50 years of life and career achievements, Dr. Belhabib inspires excellence in engineering and sustainability, cementing his legacy as a pioneer in innovation and sustainable mobility.

Rémy brings extensive experience in engineering and quality assurance, having previously worked at Ford Motor Company, Hexcel Corporation , and most recently at Emerson, three major U.S. companies in sectors requiring laser focus on safety and quality excellence.
Rémy leads Tonomia’s engineering office, implementing robust quality processes as we transition from the late stage of our startup phase.
