At Tonomia, we believe AI infrastructure must evolve to meet the realities of cost, energy availability, deployment speed, and sustainability. TonoForge™ is our answer: a modular, distributed approach to building AI capacity where it makes the most sense—close to energy, users, and heat-reuse opportunities.

From Strategic Announcement to Operational Reality
In October 2025, Tonomia unveilled its strategic collaborations with MiTAC, AMD, and Open Innovation AI, outlining a shared vision for industrializing distributed AI factories through modular infrastructure, high-performance compute, and a model-agnostic AI platform.
Today, that vision is moving into operation. TonoForge™ represents the first concrete outcome of this collaboration, designed, engineered, and now deployed as the core building block of Tonomia AI Factories .
What is TonoForge™?
TonoForge™ is an all-in-one, plug-and-play AI infrastructure module integrating:
- GPU compute platforms,
- battery-based power amplification,
- advanced thermal and energy management,
- secure connectivity and data transport,
- physical and cyber security.
Built on ISO-container standards, TonoForge™ can be transported and deployed using conventional logistics, then operated standalone or clustered with other units to form scalable AI factories—from a single rack to multi-megawatt sites.
How Tonomia AI Factories Work
Tonomia AI Factories combine multiple TonoForge™ modules and are deployed on sites that meet clear, pragmatic criteria:
- Local renewable energy availability
AI compute is deployed directly where low-carbon or renewable energy already exists, reducing dependency on grid upgrades. - Heat recovery opportunities
Waste heat from GPUs is systematically captured and reused for buildings, industry, or district heating, improving overall system efficiency. - Fiber or point-to-point connectivity
High-speed private data links provide secure, low-latency access without long telecom construction timelines. - Optional generators enabling absorption-based cooling
Existing generators can be leveraged to drive absorption cooling systems, reducing electrical cooling demand and lowering PUE.
Designed for Efficiency, Speed, and Scale
Compared to conventional centralized data centers, TonoForge™-based deployments enable:
- Significantly lower infrastructure cost per MW,
- Much faster deployment, measured in weeks rather than years,
- High energy efficiency, supported by integrated power management and heat recovery,
- Resilient operation, without requiring grid power redundancy or major grid upgrades.
This architecture makes it possible to deploy AI infrastructure on hundreds of sites that were previously unsuitable for traditional data centers.
From Infrastructure to Affordable AI Services
Combined with the model-agnostic orchestration and application layer developed by Open Innovation AI, and powered by AMD GPU platforms integrated by MiTAC, TonoForge™ enables advanced AI services—multimodal AI, RAG, secure enterprise workloads—at a fraction of the cost of centralized alternatives.
Moving Forward
Following the 2025 collaboration announcements, the first TonoForge™ installation in Europe is now nearing operation, serving both as a production site and a demonstrator. Additional deployments and large-scale projects are under discussion internationally, building on the same partner framework announced last year.
TonoForge™ is more than a product.
It is the foundation of a new AI infrastructure model—distributed, energy-aware, scalable, and built for the next decade of AI.
